Spring in Our Step
Spring is my favorite season. I look forward to so many elements of it:
Colors that blossom after the neutral palette of winter
Birdsong that offers a greeting in the morning
Warmer days that require a lighter jacket or none at all
The fresh scent of earth that is ready for new life, especially after rain
Weather changes that are a surprise–one day in the 30s, the next in the 70s, sometimes with a breeze and sometimes still
Just reading about spring in the devotional entry today made me feel uplifted.
This spring, we also have the hope of less COVID and more freedom to interact with each other. That will be cause for celebration!
How much more must the Israelites have felt their spirits rise with the hope of the promises given in today’s verses.
Today, I am going to be on the lookout for signs of hope and promise. How about you?
Your positive spin is uplifting, Gina. Maybe we're not "stuck"; perhaps we are "planted" instead. I wonder how we will bloom when the pandemic lifts and peace wins over war. What will we have learned? Will we be blossoms of kindness?
