Adding a twist to our annual “God at the Movies” series, this June we will look at television programs and scriptures that portray family life. What does God wish for us as families? Is there such thing as a perfect family? Is it the Cleavers of Leave it to Beaver, the Huxstables of the Cosby Show, or even the Simpsons?!
This summer marks the 50 year anniversary of the lunar landing. Since then, the term “moon shot” has been adopted to “a goal that is awesome, fantastic, almost impossible to achieve.” What has changed since then? If we thought about our “moon shots” as a people of faith, what would they be? What is God calling us toward as “awesome, fantastic and almost impossible to achieve?”
