Worship Series: Another Way

After the magi traveled to find Jesus in Bethlehem, they were warned in a dream to avoid Herod and return to their country by another way (Matthew 2:1-12). During this upcoming six-week season of Epiphany, we will explore “another way” of living in community together as part of the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren. What does it mean to be part of “another way” in this congregation? Many have chosen to become members of this group since the congregation began in 1902. Ideas about church participation and membership have shifted quite a bit in the last century. What does it mean to be a member of a church now? What does it mean to be a member of this church in these days? What lessons might we take from the magi as we explore how we continue to travel “another way” as a unique community of God’s people in this place, at this time, together? Join us as we explore “Another Way” during worship from December 31st through February 4th.
