As we prepare for the season of Advent and walk through it, we may carry a variety of feelings. For some, it is a time of great joy and celebration. For others, it brings a reminder of loss and disorientation in the midst of changes. This is a season of joy and hope, and for some, it also contains sorrows and fears. The nights are getting longer, and for many of us, darkness may define more than a physical reality. We long for light to see our way through all that is known and unknown.
