Sermon Series: Star Words

During the season of Epiphany, we are focused on the stars. The Gospel of Matthew tells the story of the magi who followed the star in the east to find the place where the child was with Mary, his mother. For many generations, stars have been used to give direction and guide the path of travelers to places of safety and discovery. This year on the first Sunday in January, each person will be invited to select a personal, individual Star Word for 2025, and we will be encouraged to consider how our word may be applicable to our life. We don't see these Star Words as magical but instead invite contemplation of how the Spirit might speak into your life with this word, for direction, clarity, or guidance.
