Knitting, Spinning and Weaving are creative pathways that are traditionally feminine. God is said to have “knit us in our mother’s womb” (Psalm 139). Yet, we so often overlook the feminine aspects of God. We will explore the Fiber Arts as a deeply contemplative pathway to open up our own creative hearts and connect with the Divine Feminine.
This session will explore the expression of the Divine Feminine through the Fiber Arts across different cultures. We will engage our creativity through a hands-on knitting project. We will explore the peace and beauty of the contemplative acts of knitting, spinning and weaving.
$50 is the reduced cost for Etown CoB attenders who sign-up by Friday, January 10. See the Church Bulletin Board to sign-up or contact Beth Dreyer DeGoede.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own fiber arts project. Instruction in a knitting project will be part of the program. Yarn and needle requirements will be provided at registration.
