The Classical Concert Committee has planned an exciting organ recital in the church sanctuary featuring organist Abbie Wood, a Senior Organ Performance Major at Syracuse University, also pursuing a minor in Jazz Studies. Abbie is currently the Organist at University United Methodist Church in Syracuse, NY, and substitutes at various churches during academic breaks. In 2023, Abbie won 2nd prize in the George Mathias Memorial Scholarship Competition in Brooklyn, NY, and received 1st place in the Quimby Potomac Chapter Organ Competition. In 2024, she won the Syracuse University's Outstanding Artist Competition. Abbie is from York, PA, and is 2010 graduate from Dallastown Area High School. Abbie is a former violin student of Mrs. Venona Detrick, member of our congregation.
This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
