I was intrigued by the description of the Assateague Lighthouse, so I looked it up online.
I can certainly see from the photo how the landmark could be readily visible to the viewer from a distance while possibly being obscured by obstacles to the viewer nearby.

There have been way too many times that peace and obvious answers to a dilemma were obscured from my view because I was focused on the obstacles in front of me. How much better I have felt and been able to seek resolution with a clear head when I have stepped back from the problem and tried to look at the situation from a distance perspective. That “big picture” view also makes it easier to see other potential avenues to resolution. Most importantly, by stepping back from focus on the obstacles, I am better able to see God’s light there to illuminate the situation.
