Amy M Zimmerman
For more than 25 years, Amy Zimmerman has worked in the trades industry with a focus in woodworking. She started at J.C. Snavely's & Sons as an architectural millworker and then moved on to Gene Forrey Woodworking as a cabinetmaker.
For six years, Amy was a Carpenter at Elizabethtown College, designing, building, finishing, and installing custom projects for new campus buildings or building rehabilitations, including cabinets, tables, podiums, display cases, and exterior doors.
When Amy and her wife, Shannon Zimmerman, had their first child, Vivienne, in September 2009, Amy began her second career as a homemaker. Amy and Shannon then had twins, Jack and Cora, in February 2013, and Amy maintained an independent woodworking business at her home shop while also staying home to care for their three children.
