Greg Davidson Laszakovits, Pastor

What makes Greg tick? Jesus as prophet. Vibrant communities. Matters of peace and justice. And then letting the world’s cares and worries fade to the background while screaming downhill on his mountain bike. “Now, those are God moments!” he says.

Before E-town, Greg consulted church starts in Brazil and directed legislative affairs for the Church of the Brethren in Washington DC.  An Arizona native, he studied History and Political Science at Northern Arizona University, Peace Studies at Bethany Seminary (MDiv), and gave a year to volunteer service.

God is everywhere -- in the grand discovery of travel, in places where we are pushed out of our comfort zones, and in the most mundane moments with friends and strangers alike.

Pam Reist, Pastor

Random Facts:
  • BA in Foreign Languages
  • School record as longest running girls’ basketball booster parent (11 contiguous high school years for four daughters)
  • Graduation from seminary and ordained at age 50!
  • Vice president of high school synchronized swimming team long before it was an Olympic sport

Pam hails from Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Mount Joy in 1975 when she married  the third generation owner of Reist Popcorn Company.  Pam has been taught well everything she knows or ever wanted to know about the popability of that ever-popular and healthy snack.  Seriously.  Ask her.

Having joined the pastoral team in 2008, Pam loves serving with her colleagues in this diverse and welcoming congregation.  One of her passions is creating a meaningful worship experience that enables folks of all ages to encounter God.  Pam’s vision for the church is a community of radical disciples committed to follow Jesus’ way.

When she’s not studying or visiting, Pam can be found taking a walk with the baby of the family (Watson, a boxer mix)… or hiking or reading a good book or playing in the dirt (a.k.a. gardening)!

While traveling in India last year and meeting with beautiful women in that paradoxical land, Pam found new meaning in the greeting:

NAMASTE (the divine in me greets the divine in you).  May it be so.
